In 1986, Deborah & John Bryson opened their first Christian Montessori School in Durham, North Carolina, and has since opened three other schools including an elementary program from grades first through eighth. Bryson Christian Montessori is one of the first multi-cultural, internationally diverse Christian Montessori Programs in North Carolina

Deborah holds degrees in Business Administration, Montessori Early Childhood Credential, and is a Professional Residency Director with demonstrated competency in developing the communities for the Arts.

Deborah believes a Christian Education is essential.  The Bryson programs incorporate Christian Education through the Montessori approach in Bible stories and songs, mutual respect, kindness, trust, courtesy, and grace.  Children are required to be polite to teachers, to each other, and the environment.
